David is a retired minister of the Stone-Campbell heritage. He feels that his part time position as an Associate for Development for the DCHS is his "dream job." He is married to Kristina Joy Brinkman Caldwell. He is the father of two sons and one granddaughter. David lives in Lutherville, Maryland, enjoying retirement which he fills with reading literature and editorials.
David enjoys fundraising, silent prayer retreats, volunteer work, and composing both seasonal and spiritual poetry. He is writing a novel about the American Revolution tracing three generations of the fictional Henry Hornblower family, from 1701 until 1789. Begin as indentured servants, the family become proponents of freedom for slaves in Virginia and Massachusetts. The third generation settles in Williamsburg during the Revolution and is active in the birth a new nation. "Creative writing," says David, "is my borderless homeland."
