The Historical Society is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Time. Visitors and researchers should contact us by email or phone: 866-834 - 7563 (toll free) or 615-327-1444 before they visit, in order to facilitate the best possible service from our staff.

If you are planning a research visit, please fill out our Schedule A Visit form prior to coming. You can submit this form online, or by mail.

We are closed the following holidays in 2008:

Good Friday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year's Eve

We are open by appointment only the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Driving Directions

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide free parking for our guests. We reside in a beautiful building, to be sure, but it is land-locked, with no provision for parking. There is a premium parking garage right behind us (on Scarritt). Metered-parking is also available curbside. Thank you for your cooperation by using these public parking options.
