Use ALEX to find records and finding aids for our books, pamphlets, periodicals, audio/visual materials, photographs, microfilm, congregational records, archives, and documents.  ALEX is one-stop shopping for records and pointers to all types of materials at DCHS.

ALEX offers features that make searching and finding the items you want an easier, more productive experience.  Some of these features include:

• Simple searching - Enter any word or phrase and ALEX looks for all matches in titles, authors and key words.
  
  
• Advanced search lets you have precise control over your search results. Narrow your search by language, type of media, or other criteria.
  
  
• Search results show not only DCHS holdings, but the holdings of all WorldCat libraries worldwide.
  
  
• Faceted browsing - Narrow your search results by several criteria, including edition, date of publication and more.
  
  
• Sort your search results by author, title, location, date.
  
  
• Save search results to personal, sharable lists.
  
  
• Social networking tools let you share your lists, reviews, ratings, and expertise with other users and the Society's staff.
