“My favorite thing to do is to get into our congregations, meet our people, and bring a message from God’s Word.” 

With that statement, Disciples of Christ Historical Society president Dr. Glenn Thomas Carson announced that he would conduct one final preaching tour.

And in Conclusion…The Final Preaching Tour gives Disciples congregations another opportunity to hear this acclaimed preacher. Upon the conclusion of the tour Carson will turn all of his attention to explaining the Society’s mission and ministry. “I believe that our mission is the most essential in the whole Church,” Carson says.  

The work of the Historical Society will continue to bring Carson into congregations, but he hopes to focus those visits on helping Disciples understand why their faith story is so crucial to their future.
“First, though, I am responding to all the requests for ‘one more time.’  And, so, we’ve planned a final preaching tour,” he says. Carson will continue to offer his popular seminars for congregations, regions, and other groups.

The Final Preaching Tour will be planned as far into the future as congregations would like to book, but all reservations must be made by November 1, 2010. Download this pdf flyer.
