The Thomas W. Phillips Memorial Archives, home of Disciples of Christ Historical Society has been entered on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. The National Register is a list of properties “significant in American history, architecture, archaeology, and culture – a comprehensive index of the significant physical evidences of our national patrimony.”
Nominated by the Tennessee Historical Commission, the Thomas W. Phillips Memorial Archives is now listed as a property “significant in American history.”
Disciples of Christ Historical Society holds the world’s premier collection of materials related to the Stone-Campbell heritage. These materials are housed in environmentally controlled chambers inside the Phillips Memorial Archives. The Historical Society is open weekdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm and visitors are welcome for tours.
